Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes

Following the success of its Chubby Sticks for lips, Clinique has recently introduced a range of similar products for the eyes, which features 12 shades described as long-wearing, non-smudging and containing vitamin E to “soothe and smoothe” the eye area.

In order, the colours are: Bountiful Beige (01), Lots o’ Latte (02), Fuller Fudge (03), Ample Amber (04), Whopping Willow (05), Mighty Moss (06), Pink & Plenty (07), Curvaceous Coal (08), Lavish Lilac (09), Big Blue (10), Portly Plum (11) and Massive Midnight (12). Most shades are fairly consistent with their names (despite some horrid alliterations) and almost every single one has a degree of shimmer, with some looking downright frosty on my arm.

These swatches were made in-store using testers that might have seen better days, so I can’t really tell if some of them look dry/patchy because of the condition of the testers in question or because some shades are simply more dry/patchy than others. Either way, 01, 07 and 10 were the worst performers in terms of smoothness of swatching.

All pictures were taken indoors with some natural light; I have added an extra angled shot of the latter six shades as my head-on shot was a bit blurry/not good enough.

Some of them do look patchy but they did a really nice color range here. :)
