Japanese brand Suqqu’s fall 2013 collection has just landed on UK shores and I went to Selfridges to check it out (and make a few purchases, naturally). The range celebrates Suqqu’s 10th anniversary and draws inspiration from traditional geisha make-up.
One of my acquisitions was my first Face Palette, a combination of highlighter and blush that is both gorgeous to look at and very flattering on the face.
The Suqqu Face Palette EX-03 comes with two applicators (also nice and soft, as you would expect from a brand known for the quality of its brushes) in a separate compartment, a larger highlighter pan with a stunning snowflake pattern on it and a very pretty coral-pink blush with a gradient inspired by the kimonos used by geisha in Japan. The snowflake pattern is also supposed to bring luck in Japanese tradition.
The first set of swatches were taken under direct sunlight, while the latter two were under indirect natural light. The shimmer comes from the blush and it’s very delicate, not obvious at all on the face. Click on the pictures for larger versions.
