Part of Chantecaille’s fall 2013 collection, The Wild Horses palette is the brand’s latest addition to its animal-themed offerings, a percentage of their price always being donated to a wildlife charity. In this case, the donations will go to The Humane Society of the United States in protection of the country’s wild horses’ right to roam free.
The Wild Horses palette features three eyeshadows and one blush. The eye colours are Palomino, a soft creamy beige; Mustang, a warm chestnut brown; and Black Stallion, a black liner with very subtle shimmer. The cheek shade, Freedom, is described by the company as a sunset pink that gives “a flattering windswept flush”.
Weirdly, my palette came with the top two shades in swapped positions – all promo pics show Freedom in the top left and Palomino as the top right pan. Either way, I am a big fan of this palette as all shades are soft, pigmented and gorgeous!
All pictures were taken in natural light in an alright day with no bright direct sunlight. I have done two different swatches of the blush, one with the overspray and one without, because I think the overspray actually creates a beautiful colour, if a tad metallic for blush (the darker shade is the one with overspray, in case that wasn’t clear).
