Suqqu’s fall 2013 collection, which commemorates the brand’s 10th anniversary and is inspired by traditional Japanese make-up, includes three eyeshadow palettes, one face palette (swatched here), four lip colours (three Creamy Glow Moists and one Bright Up) and two nail polish shades, all limited edition.
The first eyeshadow palette, EX-15 Hanaazuki, features shades reminiscent of Hanamari (EX-08) and Hisuidama (EX-12), so at some point I’ll do comparison swatches. However, it features five shades, three shimmery and two matte: a pearly shimmery cream shade, a complex light mauve shimmery colour, a small pale green shimmer strip, a dark brown liner shade and a light pink base colour.
All shades swatched beautifully with my finger, except for the brown liner shade – however, adding a bit of water to the swatch yielded a lot more pigment, so this particular shade works way better foiled (and looks more purplish, bizarrely). The pictures were taken under natural light, with the first two sets of swatches in direct sunlight and the remaining pictures in indirect light.
