I travel a lot for work and as such am always looking for practical items to carry around with me, especially eyeshadow palettes that are versatile. That is why I bought the bareMinerals Ready Convertible Eyeshadow Palette, combined with the fact that I have loved all the brand’s ready (pressed) eyeshadows I’ve tried so far.
Thankfully I wasn’t disappointed, and the quality of the 12 shades in this palette is on par with previous offerings from bareMinerals. What is clever about the format in this case is that it holds within itself a smaller, detachable trio which can be customised by the owner – all pans are removable (they just pop out and click back in).
The palette holds a combination of matte and shimmery shades, with four described as “base” colours, five as “crease” shades and three as “liner” pans.
The shades are called, clockwise from top left: Stealth (base), Daydream (base), Embellish (crease), Perspective (liner), Panorama (liner), Maven (liner), In Vogue (crease), Custom Made (crease), Hot Commodity (crease), Max Volume (crease), Muse (base) and Mixologist (base).
Clever, huh? I thought so too! On to the swatches now, all photographed outdoors under natural light (gloomy day) – swatches are in the same order as the shades listed above. As you can see, the base shades are all very light with varying undertones. The liner colours swatched worse than others but are still superpigmented dry, and I can imagine they’d be even deeper if used wet. The shimmery shades are all buttery and amazing.
I really like this palette. What do you think?
