The last item in Sleek Makeup’s spring 2014 collection is a new i-Divine eyeshadow palette called Garden of Eden. As the name might suggest, the colours are earthy and greens feature heavily (which I particularly love). The palette has been reviewed ad nauseam by other blogs so as usual I will focus on swatches.
Top row: Gates of Eden (shimmery peach), Eve’s Kiss (shimmery cool lilac-pink), Paradise on Earth (shimmery beige-taupe), Python (shimmery light bronze), Forbidden (lightly-glittered taupe), Flora (matte warm brown)
Bottom row: Entwined (lightly-glittered brown), Adam’s Apple (matte chartreuse), Fig (shimmery yellow-green), Evergreen (shimmery mint green), Fauna (shimmery medium green) and Tree of Life (matte forest green).
All the shimmery shades swatch beautifully and are very pigmented. The matte shades are a bit less pigmented, with Adam’s Apple the lightest and Tree of Life the most pigmented of those. Overall, all shades are of a good quality.
All swatch pictures were taken outdoors in natural light except for the last one, which was taken in the conservatory so under more indirect sunlight. Click on the images for larger versions.
I took the picture below with my mobile to show the difference in colouring – the phone makes my arm a lot cooler!
