I don’t normally purchase over-hyped products as I’ve been burnt in the past; they hardly live up to the hype and I usually end up disappointed. However, I am happy to say the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream (Colour Correcting, in case you’re wondering) did not let me down.
There are issues: the colour range is not very comprehensive and, for us pale girls, the option is Ivory (31), which is very much on the pink side of the spectrum. Despite that, it is only a tad darker than my neck and I can get away with it after blending and using a light powder (Guerlain Météorites UV Pressed Powder SPF35 PA+++ in Blanc de Perle).
The swatches below was photographed under direct natural light. My arm is very fair (N5-ish) and neutral.
I don’t normally add face pictures on this blog but think on this occasion it is justified to show how well this product performs in terms of colour correction. I have blemish scars and surface redness on my cheeks but the Bourjois CC Cream does a great job of evening out my skin tone – I only used a little bit of concealer on my chin and bits of my cheek. You can see the colour difference to my neck as well. This picture has not been tweaked.
