Suqqu Blend Color Eyeshadow EX-20 Natsubotan

Suqqu’s Summer 2014 range isn’t a full collection as such and includes only two limited edition items: a new eyeshadow palette, EX-20 Natsubotan (summer peony in Japanese), and a new Creamy Glow Moist lipstick, EX-14 Sumimomoiro (pink ink in Japanese). I’m not the biggest fan of the CGM formula even though EX-14 is more pigmented than most so only brought home the eyeshadow quad.

Natsubotan is a delicate and feminine combination of pinks and plum for a lovely and fresh summery look. The shades include a shimmery pinky-champagne, a shimmery Barbie-pink that’s not as intense as it looks, a fabulous plum with blue-pink shimmer (my favourite) and a light pink base shade.

I can honestly say my pictures do not do this quad justice. I wasn’t planning on buying it when I saw the shades but after a makeover using it I couldn’t resist.

The swatches below were photographed under bright sunlight in a Jekyll-and-Hyde day in London.

The next swatch pics were taken under indirect natural light in my conservatory.

It’s more plummy than brown IRL – I need to take some better pics but it looks so much nicer in person!

*happy sigh* just got my hands on this one. Lovely swatches, I am excited to try it out too.
It is great to know that it is even better in person :-)

Is it possible to mix some of the other Suqqu shades to make that brown? I’m imagining ex-15 bottom left and top right shades and maybe with a touch of ex-10 brown.

I’m not sure; will have to try, but it is quite a unique shade…
