Yes, I know I’m late on this particular parade and everyone and their dogs has already blogged about the latest Suqqu colour collection. Still, as Ichibankao has the LE products from the Fall 2014 collection back in stock, this may still be useful for someone. If nothing else it’s a good excuse for me to go back to blogging after a long-ish hiatus!
Suqqu Blend Color Eyeshadow EX–21 Murasakisuishou (Japanese for amethyst) is the first eight-colour palette by the Japanese brand; it has launched palettes before with one split pan (essentially five shades), but this is the first time all four eyeshadow pans have two colours.
There isn’t much change in terms of texture – three of the pans have satiny, shimmery shades while the bottom-right corner has two matte base shadows. And while Suqqu is not necessarily known for its bold colours, I welcomed the addition of the pink and orangey-peach shades in the top-left pan as they complement nicely the more neutral, basic staples.
Do not be fooled by the seemingly unimpressive pictures, though; all the shadows in this palette (other than the base shades) have complex microshimmer and the lovely textures I have come to expect from Suqqu. And the packaging is also lovely, with a similar pattern to that of the holiday palettes.
Enjoy the pictures – that’s enough wordiness from me!
