UK brand Sleek Makeup is well known for its lovely, pigmented and very affordable powder blushes. It has now launched a new range of cream blushes that finish with a powder effect, and I couldn’t resist grabbing a few.
The Sleek Crème to Powder blushes are available in six shades, all named after flowers; the shop I visited only had four of them so I got them all, Pokémon-style! They are incredibly pigmented, so much so that my fingers were stained after swatching. And there is no shimmer in sight.
The packaging looks exactly like NARS’ – it remains to be seen if they’ll be as hard to remain clean as that brand’s infamous black casing; I imagine the fact that these are creams and not powers will be a relief for the slightly obsessive among us. On the bright side, they are easier to open than Sleek’s original blush packaging.
And now to the swatches, in the same order as the products were pictures before: Gerbera is a warm orange, Pink Peony is a bright (almost neon) pink, French Rose is a mauvey rose and Crimson is a bright red shade. I swatches them full on and then sheered out to give a better idea of what they’d look like when applied.
I also photographed a couple of close-ups for good measure.
Conclusion: These are excellent additions to Sleek’s range of blushes and continue the tradition of good colours and great pigmentation. I can’t comment on wear time and performance as I haven’t tested them on my face yet, but if previous experience is anything to go by I’m sure these will be winners.
