This summer, UK brand Sleek Makeup has launched a seaside-inspired limited-edition range called Nautical Collection, including an eyeshadow palette, a blush trio and a lipstick. I’ll start with the blush trio, the Sleek Blush By 3 Palette in Santa Marina.
Sleek’s blushes are usually superpigmented and long-lasting, and these are no different. The Santa Marina trio features three shades: a shimmery mauvey rose called Calypso Island, a sandy beige called Phoenix Sand and a pretty almost-matte coral named Coral Dune.
On my very fair and pale skin, the middle shade is almost invisible, more of a highlighter than a blush. The other two colours, however, show up as intensely as the brand’s single blushes.
The texture of Sleek’s blushes is more powdery than velvety but the intensity of the shades is second to none. Calypso Island is probably more of a fall colour in my opinion, but Coral Dune is certainly a pretty, universally-flattering sort of blush shade. All pictures were taken under direct natural light.
Conclusion: Santa Marina keeps up the good quality of Sleek’s Blush By 3 palettes, with colours that will suit most people and very pigmented shades. I wouldn’t say this trio is unique enough if you already have a decent amount of blushes in your collection, but I find these palettes so practical for travel that they are always useful!
